Here are a selection of the major features of Hengistbury Head and surrounding area taken by satellite via
Google Earth from varying altitudes.
Google Earth is a wonderful piece of software and its free!
Google Earth provides satellite images of every place on earth.
The resolution varies, but for Hengistbury Head we are lucky and it gives us excellent
images that (in GoogleEarth) can be zoomed in on or overlayed with maps etc.
Google lets you reproduce their Google Earth images as long as you do not charge for them (see their copyright statement)
The quality of the images accessed by clicking on the thumbnail images below, are good, but not as good as those you will get when
using Google Earth itself. Furthermore, these images are rather out-of-date. The current Google images are more recent and clearer.
